Best Performics India Alternatives for KPI-Linked Fees
Six India agencies that tie fees to results, from KPI-discounted invoices to retainer-plus-revenue fees. What each one says on its own site, checked 8 Oct 2026.
By Abhilash LR
If you want an Indian agency that ties its fee to KPIs or revenue instead of a flat retainer, there are real options, but they work in very different ways. Perfozi discounts its invoice when targets are missed. GUROB charges a one-time kickoff fee plus a performance fee. Evolv India pairs a retainer with a net-revenue fee. ITD GrowthLabs and Techmagnate lean on commission models. COACT, which publishes this blog, ties a meaningful portion of its fee to outcomes. Everything below is what each agency says about itself; we could not verify results independently.
Key Takeaways
- "Performance-based" covers at least four different fee designs. A KPI-discounted invoice, a kickoff-plus-performance fee, a retainer plus revenue fee, and pure commission are not interchangeable.
- Fee amounts are mostly unpublished. Of the agencies below, only ITD GrowthLabs and Evolv list any figures; the rest scope fees on a call.
- We corrected the common claims. For example, ITD GrowthLabs' site shows retainers and an undefined "commission", not the revenue-share and per-order options sometimes attributed to it.
- Disclosure: COACT is one of the agencies listed. We describe it with the same rules as the others: only what its site says.
How Is Performics India Positioned?
Performics India is the Indian arm of Performics, which describes itself as the performance marketing arm of Publicis Media, part of Publicis Groupe. It is headquartered in Mumbai and lists services across digital branding and programmatic, paid media, organic content and SEO, ecommerce and analytics. It describes itself as India's largest performance marketing agency, a self-description we have not verified. We found no published fee structure or minimum spend, so we make no claim about how it prices. If you are replacing it, ask for the same fee design in writing from any alternative.
Which Indian Agencies Link Fees to Results?
| Agency | How its own site describes the fee | Fee amounts published? | Stated focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Perfozi | "Our fee is tied to performance — if we miss agreed targets, you pay less." KPIs are agreed up front and written into the contract. | No | General digital marketing; calls itself "India's Most Accountable Agency" |
| GUROB | "Performance-based only": a one-time kickoff fee from the client plus a performance fee tied to outcomes. "No monthly retainer." | No | Founder-led brands: e-commerce, apps, coaching, clinics, B2B |
| Evolv India | Three tiers: a fixed ₹4.5 lakh 30-day diagnostic; "Managed Growth" retainer plus a performance fee tied to net revenue lift; "Full-Stack Embed" revenue share with a floor commitment | Partly (diagnostic fee only) | D2C brands scaling, across beauty, F&B, wellness and premium lifestyle |
| ITD GrowthLabs | Retainers by service; a "Performance Marketing" package listed as "From Rs 25K/mo · retainer + commission + lead-gen" | Retainer ranges, yes; commission rate, no | D2C, B2B and real estate lead generation |
| Techmagnate | Its affiliate marketing page says brands "pay only for actual results" and affiliates earn a commission per sale or referral | No | Affiliate and performance programmes |
| COACT | "A meaningful portion of our fee is tied to the outcomes we deliver," linked to results such as ROAS and qualified leads; no long lock-ins; free 15-day pilot | No | D2C, fintech, ecommerce, logistics and consumer tech in India and Southeast Asia |
| Performics India | No fee structure found | No | Large-scale performance marketing within Publicis Media |

The Four Fee Designs, Compared
1. KPI-discounted invoice (Perfozi)
The fee is set against agreed KPIs, and a miss reduces the invoice. Its homepage does not state the size of the discount, the contract term or whether ad spend is marked up. Ask for the formula and the measurement source before signing. Perfozi's site says "Built in London. Delivered worldwide" and uses an Indian phone number; we found no independent reviews, so ask for references.
2. Kickoff fee plus performance fee (GUROB)
GUROB's site describes "a one-time kickoff fee from you" and "a performance fee tied to outcomes from us," tied to a revenue target, lead volume, a CAC ceiling or a ROAS floor. No amounts are published. Its case examples (for instance a cost per download falling from Rs 117 to Rs 15) are marketing claims we could not verify.
3. Retainer plus net-revenue fee, or revenue share (Evolv India)
Evolv says its compensation is "tied to your channel net revenue and contribution margin, not the time we spend." The Managed Growth tier is a retainer with a performance fee; its site says it is typically for brands with "₹12L+ trailing ARR." The Full-Stack Embed tier is a margin-share model in which Evolv buys and carries inventory, aimed at brands above ₹15 crore ARR. It offers a 30-day quarterly exit window and contrasts that with a typical 12-month lock-in. Percentages are not published.
4. Retainer plus commission (ITD GrowthLabs) and affiliate commission (Techmagnate)
ITD GrowthLabs lists retainer ranges (for example ₹40,000-₹3 lakh a month for Google plus Meta, "indicative, 2026") and a performance package with retainer, commission and lead generation, without explaining the commission. Techmagnate's affiliate page describes pay-per-result affiliate marketing generally and gives no fee structure of its own. Commission suits sales- or referral-led goals better than whole-account growth.
How Do You Choose Between Them?
- Pick the metric first. Revenue lift, ROAS, CAC, qualified leads, or orders. Each design above leans toward different metrics.
- Ask for the formula in writing. Our contract checklist for ROAS and CPA deals lists what to define, from refunds to attribution windows.
- Check the floor. Many "performance" models still carry a retainer, a kickoff fee or a minimum spend.
- Test before you commit. A short pilot shows how the agency measures and reports before you sign a long contract.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are there many Indian agencies that accept pure revenue-share fees?
Very few. Most "performance-based" offers still include a retainer, a kickoff fee or a minimum. Evolv's Full-Stack Embed is the clearest revenue-share model we found, and it is aimed at brands above ₹15 crore ARR.
Which of these suits an ecommerce brand best?
Evolv India describes a D2C focus and net-revenue-linked fees, and COACT lists ecommerce and D2C among its verticals. Match the fee metric to your own economics, and ask each agency how returns and cancellations are handled.
What happens if KPI targets are missed?
It depends on the contract. Perfozi's site says the invoice is reduced, without stating by how much. Ask any agency for the exact adjustment formula and the measurement window.
Can a smaller specialist replace a network agency like Performics India?
Often, if your spend and needs fit. Large networks offer scale and breadth; specialists offer closer alignment. Evaluate on the work, the people on your account and the fee design, not on size.
How do I verify an agency's performance claims?
Ask for anonymised case examples, references and a worked calculation of how your fee would have come out on a past account. Treat a published fee model as a signal, not proof.
Did you check these agencies independently?
We read each agency's own pages on 8 October 2026 and report only what they state. We did not verify client results, and we found no fee figures for several of them.
Sources and method (all read directly on 8 October 2026): Performics India, Perfozi, GUROB, Evolv India, ITD GrowthLabs, Techmagnate affiliate marketing (this site blocks automated checkers, so the link may need a normal browser), and COACT's own pages. Claims about the agencies' results are theirs, not ours. Other agencies that appear in roundups (Highprime, Interactive Avenues, iProspect, Social Beat, WATConsult) were left out because we found no published fee details to report.
